Warmly welcoming inside
& out

At AIS Thu Thiem, the public spaces and student commons have been designed to warmly welcome students, teachers, and guests, creating a great first impression and lasting memories of comfortable, colourful indoor and outdoor spaces.

Gentle curves forming the primary design language are expressed through flowing coffered ceiling and meandering carpet colours that subtly guide traffic flow in and around the main public spaces.

Navigation made easy

Organic shapes and soft furnishings help calm spaces often filled with activity and movement at peak times during the day. Careful colour coding of spaces helps differentiate spatial hierarchies and identify activity zones, making navigation more manageable and intuitive.

Lush tropical courtyard retreat

The recent addition of a lush, tropical courtyard extends the experience into nature for students and visitors to the school. Here, seating nooks provide safe spaces for individuals and groups to gather and relax, study or play games together, protected from the hot tropical sun at all times of the day.

Warmly welcoming experiences

Acknowledging the importance of social spaces for all areas, age groups, and stakeholders, the same bespoke furniture designed for the main public areas and lobby has been provided throughout the student spaces on the upper floors configured to suit the different functional needs of various grades.
