Nestled in the heart of the city, Vesper Gourmet Lounge is an institution in vibrant Ho Chi Minh City, renowned for its excellent food, great cocktails and the intimate, sophisticated interior created by OUT-2 Design. Elegantly divided into two connectable spaces, the main bar features one of the largest continuous timber bar counters in the city, faced with a riveted copper facia with a patina amplified in the stunning green leather bar stools and backlit glass shelving. Overhead, a meandering zinc lantern, hand-made by local artisans, adds a distinct persona and drama to the space.

About Vesper

Patrons are enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and refinement as they gather around the bar, sipping expertly crafted cocktails and engaging in lively conversations. The stylish design elements, from the rich wood
to the metallic accents, create a luxurious yet inviting setting for guests to unwind and socialize. As day transitions
to night, the juxtaposition of materials, textures, and colours creates an intoxicating atmosphere that tantalizes
the senses.

Sophistication meets
casual elegance

Wrapping around the main bar area, a vast copper coloured vector map of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), accurately drawn by artists at OUT-2 Design, creates a sense of place and helps connect guests to the city. When required, three of the large panels can slide into different positions connecting the adjacent spaces in varying degrees to suit the different functions and events the venue accommodates—from intimate dinners to live music and DJ parties.

Overhead, the trapezoidal acoustic ceiling skilfully conceals services and mechanical ducting while making the most of the vertical space available.

Celebrating Saigon

Opposite the bar and behind the vector-map screens, an intimate dining room seating 35 exudes sophistication with a rich mix of leathers, verde (green) marble, fabric walls, and a stunning timber and green glass showcase adorned with local curios and antiques from the owner’s private collection.

A bronze mirror traversing the back wall helps extend the space while reflections and movement simultaneously connect the dining room back to the main bar. Oversized zinc and copper lanterns gently light the space and work in concert with the acoustic fabrics lining the walls to ensure sound is appropriately attenuated.
